Planning a trip can be stressful even at the best of times. But with the coronavirus leaving no corner of the world untouched, it’s reassuring to know that you will be covered for certain crucial aspects of your holiday.
We’ve been working hard with our insurers to create these new products with the customer in mind and are proud to offer them with the guarantee that we’ll be there to offer support and help you should you need it.
The new-look policies include:
- Cancellation cover:
if anyone named on the policy contracts Covid-19 within 14 days of their trip starting
- Curtailment cover:
if anyone named on the policy contracts Covid-19 during their trip
- Medical expenses:
should anyone insured fall ill with Covid-19 while on holiday (as long as customers have not travelled against Foreign and Commonwealth Office advice (FCO))
- Denied boarding:
if anyone insured is refused boarding on the inbound flight by an airline due to having or a suspected case of Covid-19
- The insured did not travel against FCO advice
- The insured had no reasonable intention or likelihood of claiming at the time of purchasing the policy
As always, we strongly recommend that customers take time to read their policy wordings to understand exactly what cover is provided in their policy as each policy is different.
