Reporting to: CCF Team Leader  

The coordinator will support the team will all elements of cost containment and provide reassurance to our customers.



  • Auditing of medical invoices received by the claims handlers
  • Review invoices for the appropriateness of the interventions in relation the medical condition and claim
  • Review the provider costs against what is usual and customary in the local country
  • Arrange payment of cost contained invoices
  • Contacting the insured to explain the cost containment process and provide reassurance
  • Correspond with the provider
  • Correspond with debt collectors and solicitors
  • Refer legal cases to senior management
  • To refer to a manager when any work falls outside their area of knowledge or expertise


Personal qualities

  • Educated to degree standard/experience in this type of role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English essential
  • Proven successful experience of customer service role (experience in medical assistance not essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to empathise with people in stressful circumstances while at the same time defending a company stance, often under significant pressure
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
  • Excellent keyboard skills, both speed and accuracy, are also essential to the role
  • Ability to be thorough and apply meticulous attention to detail
