We don’t just raise money for charities, we provide support, resources and help raise awareness of these organisations.

Our community ethos runs throughout the company – with employees given opportunities to volunteer and take part in local charity events. We also raise money for a range of good causes, through regular involvement in events like Children In Need, Comic Relief and Christmas Jumper Days.

Shine Cancer Support

shine-squareShine Cancer Support is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting men and women living with cancer in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

What they said about us:

“We are incredibly grateful for all of the help and support we have gained through our relationship with tifgroup.

It’s great to work with a company and people whose values are so aligned with ours and whose business actually helps our beneficiaries too.”

How tifgoup has helped:

We’ve provided insurance experts to talk to younger adults affected by cancer – and provided downloadable factsheets.

Provided funding to enable Shine to hold flagship events, and launch a new “Plus One” campaign to support the partners of young adults with cancer.

Raised £12,000 for the charity by persuading eleven employees to take part in Shine’s “Summit Snowdon” event.

Street Reach

Street Reach was founded with the aim of empowering young people (of ages 11-19) to achieve their full potential. By working with young people who have experienced disadvantage or who are sometimes suffering from a range of issues, the Street Reach team goes out into the communities and build relationships with young people on the streets, where they can ask for support and advice at a time and place on their own terms.

By offering support and advice on topics such as keeping safe, relationships, education and job interview practice, Street Reach aim to improve the lives and raise aspirations of individuals and groups within the community.

The team are out on the streets of Winchester for 50 weeks a year, in all sorts of weather, and also host community projects such as camping, paintballing and Friday football that might not normally be available to individuals due to cost or distance.

How tifgroup has helped:

Our staff are utilising the skills that we put into practice every day in the office, to help Street Reach increase the size of their outreach and help more young people on the streets. We’re using these skills every day, so doing something that would otherwise cost a charity thousands, for free to help a good cause is what the ethos of tifgroup is all about!

Family Holiday Association

Working to provide that well-needed holiday for the underprivileged, the Family Holiday Association aims to reach out and help families struggling with issues such as disability, severe or sudden illness, bereavement, mental health issues and domestic violence.

FHA is founded on the belief that holidays are a lifeline, not a luxury and help hundreds of families to recover, rebuild and replace memories. A simple break from a stressful everyday situation can help parents and children create precious moments together, strengthen bonds and develop a new sense of optimism.

tifgroup completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the Family Holiday Association in 2012, and managed to raise over £8,000 in doing so.
