Heathrow Terminal Three Flight Suspensions

Following the suspensions of flights from Heathrow airport terminal three on the morning of Friday 5th May 2017, which was as a result of a suspicious package being identified, we at tifgroup would like to clarify what cover is available to our policyholders.

Departure delay Providing this is a benefit usually available under the policy we are happy to offer benefit for travel delay, or alternatively trip abandonment, after a 24 hour delay after check in of your flight for departures from Heathrow terminal three only. This applies to trips which began on or after 5th May 2017 only and until normal service resumes.

For both trip abandonment and departure delay you must not have been offered any compensation, or alternative transport that departs within 24 hours. To find out more please email the claims team on claims@tif-plc.co.uk.
